Agartala: Tipra Motha MLA Ranjit Debbarma wants Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu to step in. He claims SP Security Amitabha Paul is running his office with corruption, communal bias, and clear partiality. Debbarma sent a formal two-page letter to the Governor on October 27. It reached the Governor's Secretariat at Lok Bhavan, Agartala, the same day.

Debbarma represents the 24-Ramchandraghat Assembly Constituency. This area sits in the remote hills and poses a high security risk. The trouble started when PSO Sukesh Debbarma was pulled from his post on October 10. The MLA filed a complaint against that officer on October 13. He saw no result. He then surrendered his two remaining PSOs at 3 pm on October 23. He has lacked security cover ever since.

The MLA says constant PSO transfers are just a way to pressure him. He believes the SP manages the security wing based on favoritism rather than policy. "There is no implemented transfer policy for police persons," the letter noted. He claims some officers stay with VIPs for ten years while others get nothing.

Debbarma linked his fears to a history of violence in the region. He pointed to the deaths of former MLAs Parimal Saha, Madhusudhan (Bhola) Saha, and Gautam Datta, plus former minister Bimal Sinha. He believes the current police administration is failing to protect him. He demands immediate action against SP Amitabha Paul for these alleged failures.
