Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha opened three new training facilities in Durjoynagar today. The expansion includes new buildings for the Agartala Government Nursing College, the BRAM Nursing School, and the ANM(R) Training Institute. These sites aim to upgrade local medical education and provide nursing students with better access to practical training equipment.
Saha wants a healthier state. He claims the government remains focused on training the next generation of medical workers to serve the local population. The Chief Minister pointed to a significant win for his administration: patient referrals have dropped by nearly 80 per cent. This shift suggests that local care is finally improving.
The work continues beyond the capital. Saha also performed the Bhoomi Pujan and laid the foundation stone for a new primary health centre in Narsinggarh. The project comes with an estimated price tag of ₹5 crore. "The government was committed to expanding modern medical facilities for people in remote and underserved areas and further strengthening healthcare infrastructure," Saha said during the ceremony.
