Agartala Hospital Opens New ICU and Sterile Services Unit

Agartala: Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha opened two new medical facilities in Agartala on Monday. He added an Intensive Care Unit to the Super Specialty Block and a Central Sterile Services Department at the AGMC and GBP Hospital. The new units aim to bolster critical care and improve sterilization protocols at the primary state referral center.

MLA Meena Rani Sarkar attended the event as a special guest. Health and Family Welfare Department Secretary Kiran Gittey served as the guest of honor. Senior medical staff and various government officials watched the proceedings. The upgrades promise better patient management and advanced medical care standards.

Dr. Saha addressed the crowd during the ceremony. "The state government is committed to continuously expanding and modernising healthcare infrastructure while ensuring access to quality medical services for citizens," he said. The administration maintains that these projects reflect a broader plan to overhaul the facilities at GBP Hospital and strengthen the state health network.
