NSEDM Trains 36 Budding Entrepreneurs in Dimapur

Kohima: The Nagaland Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Mission trained 36 entrepreneurs during its third Enterprise Readiness Support Workshop. The two-day event ran August 18 and 19 at E-Space in Duncan, Dimapur. It focused on financial literacy, business planning, and credit access. This program helps candidates move into self-employment or business ownership.

NSEDM identified these participants through an Entrepreneurship Readiness Assessment Survey. The curriculum covered digital skills, cost analysis, and regulatory awareness. Each participant crafted a pitch deck and a formal business plan. They outlined growth strategies, operational needs, and funding requirements for their ventures.

Imtisunup Longchar, an Entrepreneurship Development Counsellor, anchored the sessions. Guest speakers included Lezo Putsure of EduCentre School of Business and Nengneithem Hengna from Runway Nagaland. They were joined by Kewengule Therie of Ake Living, Alemjungla Jamir of Naga Bowl Express, and Nzanrhoni Humtsoe of Brief and Co. Marketing Agency. Day two featured SBI Dimapur manager N Robert Tungoe and Ilandlo Services director Lipokjungla Ozukum.

The training emphasized responsible borrowing and bank financing. It also introduced an Intensive Mentorship Programme to provide ongoing support for these new businesses. The mission operates under the Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland. Meripeni Ngullie, the project lead, closed the event by telling the group, "put their learning into practice and remain committed to their entrepreneurial pursuits."
