Dimapur Police Recover Two Unidentified Bodies

Kohima: Dimapur police recovered two unidentified male bodies in separate incidents over the last three days. Both men are now held at the District Hospital Morgue pending identification and post-mortem exams.

The first call came in at 8:00 AM on August 17. Personnel from the Sub-Urban Police Station arrived at Rail Bazaar to find a man dead. Officers suspect the man died from natural causes and starvation. Officials asked anyone with information to contact the Officer-in-Charge at 7085055026.

A second body turned up on Wednesday. The Government Railway Police Station received a memo from the Dimapur Railway Station Master at 2:00 PM reporting a discovery between railway kilometres 259/4 and 259/3.

Police estimated the man was between 35 and 40 years old. The man wore an orange T-shirt and black trousers. Preliminary findings point to illness. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime)/PRO stated, "Relatives or acquaintances have been requested to contact the Officer-in-Charge, GRPS Dimapur, at 7085055021."
