Dimapur Police Recover Two Unidentified Bodies

Kohima: Dimapur Police recovered two unidentified male bodies in separate incidents this month. Both men died from suspected natural causes. The first body turned up at Rail Bazaar on August 17. Sub-Urban Police Station personnel arrived on scene to conduct an inquest. They suspect starvation caused the death. Police moved the body to the District Hospital Dimapur morgue for a post-mortem examination. They are now hunting for anyone who knows the man.

Authorities urged the public to step forward. "Claimant/ relatives/ friends of the deceased are requested to contact the Officer-in-Charge, Sub-Urban PS at 7085055026."

A second body appeared on August 19. Investigators found the unidentified non-local man, estimated to be 35 to 40 years old, near railway kilometer marker 259/4 to 259/3. The man wore a black pair of long pants and an orange t-shirt. A police duty party arrived to verify the scene and determined the man died due to illness. The body also sits at the District Hospital Dimapur morgue awaiting identification. Officials want anyone with information to call the Officer-in-Charge at the Government Railway Police Station at 7085055021.
