Guwahati: Former Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga walked the stage at Gauhati University on August 20. "For peace and development, trust, cooperation, and a mindset of moving forward together among all sections of society are extremely essential," he told the room. He urged the crowd to prioritize tolerance and democratic values above past grievances.

Gauhati University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nani Gopal Mahanta presided over the event. He handed the former CM his bachelor's degree certificate during the ceremony.
