Guwahati: Juria Police cracked down on a local bike theft ring in the Nagaon district. Officers arrested Arfan Ali of Dagaon during a raid in Maheripar. He was found with a stolen motorcycle. The bust followed a specific tip-off.

Officer-in-Charge Kartik Basak led the operation. Police suspect Ali operates within a larger network that has plagued the region for some time. These thieves allegedly hide stolen bikes at secret spots across the area. Investigators are now grilling Ali to flush out his partners.

This arrest hits the group hard. Two days prior, the same police unit seized five stolen bikes and jailed three suspects in a related sweep. Local authorities aim to dismantle the entire operation. According to police, the racket had "allegedly been active in the region for a long time" before this latest intervention.
