Guwahati: Juria police officers arrested two suspected drug dealers in the Udmari Balugutia area of Assam’s Nagaon district on November 7. A special team led by Officer-in-Charge Ajay Barman executed the operation following a tip-off. They moved fast.

The search yielded 12 containers of suspected prohibited substances and 57 empty containers. Officers also seized 3,020 rupees in cash and one mobile phone from the suspects. Police identified the men as local residents Rafiqul Islam and Abdul Khalek.

Authorities described the village as a site where, "the area had allegedly emerged as a hub of drug-related activities." Investigators are now questioning the pair to uncover the broader network behind the trade. They intend to track down everyone involved in the racket.
