Kohima: The Ministry of Tribal Affairs signed a deal with the E-School of Business to kickstart tribal entrepreneurship. Officials inked the pact at Kartavya Bhavan-I in New Delhi on August 7. Joint Secretary Anant Prakash Pandey signed for the ministry. Union Minister Jual Oram, Minister of State Durga Das Uikey, and Secretary Ranjana Chopra stood by to witness the agreement.
The E-School of Business operates as an incubator under Startup Nagaland and the Department of Industries and Commerce. The partnership fills gaps in market access, technology, and finance. It provides end-to-end support for tribal entrepreneurs. This covers everything from the first business idea to full company growth.
Structured training programs will pair with business advice and networking. These sessions aim to turn traditional knowledge and local resources into profitable ventures. The initiative works alongside the Atal Innovation Mission. It links tribal youth to government schemes, financial institutions, and tech partners.
Backers of the program believe this move will drive local economic growth. The goal is to turn participants into “job creators” rather than just job seekers. The ministry expects this collaboration to build a sustainable path for tribal business owners across the country.
