Kohima: The Kohima Chamber of Commerce and Industry debuted its Golden Jubilee logo on August 7 at its home office in Kohima. Medozhatuo Rutsa, the convenor of the Golden Jubilee Organising Committee, revealed the design to a crowd of members, office bearers, and invited guests.
KCCI President Ruokuoneilie Kesiezie led the event. Pastor Visato Yhoshu of UBC provided the opening prayers. The design comes from Vithuse Temi, the chamber’s secretary of sanitation. It features the years 1976 to 2026 tucked under the main emblem. A gold ring wraps around the centerpiece to mark wealth and eternity. Golden leaves sit on the sides to represent achievement and victory. These symbols document five decades of local business support.
"This logo belongs to every member who kept the Chamber standing for fifty years," said Kesiezie. He noted the design honors the past while pledging support to future entrepreneurs who will drive the economy of Kohima. General Secretary Grace Swu confirmed the group first formed in 1976. It serves as the top authority for traders, retailers, and local enterprises. The body handles advocacy with the Kohima Municipal Council, the state government, and other official offices.
