Sovima Village Council Imposes Night Curfew Following Theft Spate

Kohima: Sovima Village Council is shutting down the streets. Starting October 6, a curfew kicks in throughout the village vicinity every night from 10:00 PM. The council implemented this strict measure because of a rising tide of thefts targeting both public and private property. This restriction stays in effect until further notice.

Officials issued a firm warning to local business owners regarding consumer safety. Shops caught peddling expired stock will face immediate consequences. The council stated, "Any shop found selling expired commodities shall be penalised, and their trade licenses revoked."

Council members apologized to residents and guests for the sudden disruption to their nightly routines. They are now calling on all citizens to stay alert. If you see suspicious behavior, report it to the council immediately.
