Kohima: The Nagaland College of Music and Fine Arts held an alumni concert in Kohima on August 2. The event marked the school's 10th anniversary since its 2016 founding. Music filled the college grounds. Rev Suhoto Chishi, a board member and NBCC Youth Secretary, opened the evening with a prayer.
MLA Dr. Tseilhoutuo Rhutso served as the special chief guest. He spoke to the crowd about the power of music. Rhutso urged the faculty to help students find bigger stages for their craft. He said, "The potential and benefits that music offers, and the central role it plays in social and individual lives" must remain a priority.
Former students took the stage to perform songs from the past and present. They also debuted original compositions during the show. The performance highlighted the growth of the alumni since graduation.
