Kohima: NIT Nagaland hosted its third annual technical festival, Tech Avinya 3.0, and the cultural event Euphonics 2026 on November 5 and 6. The two-day event drew participants from eleven different schools and colleges. Organizers from the institute's Technical and Cultural Boards ran the show.
Technical competitions challenged students on theory and practical skills. Participants joined the Hackathon, Hardware Hackathon, and the Robo Track Challenge. Teams faced strict time limits to build solutions or race custom machines. The events handed out a prize pool topping Rs 2 lakh.
Students also competed in programming contests like CodeRaze and Genesis 3D. The Integration Bee and Quants Challenge tested math skills, while Tech Crisis and Stock Race taught students about entrepreneurship and trading. The publicity team noted the event "featured a range of competitions designed to assess both theoretical knowledge and practical competencies across technological and engineering disciplines."
Euphonics 2026 brought music and dance to the campus. This included a Battle of Bands alongside singing and dancing contests. Gamers played BGMI, Free Fire, and Mobile Legends in esports tournaments. The festival wrapped up on November 6, connecting students from across the region.
