Kohima: Nagaland College of Music & Fine Arts opened a new auditorium in Kohima on August 31. Higher Education and Tourism Minister Temjen Imna Along cut the ribbon. Rev Dr Kevekhalo Lasuh, Senior Pastor of Christian Brotherhood Church Kohima, offered the dedication prayer. Er Vilini Q Wotsa of the PWD Housing Education Division presented the technical construction report.
The convocation followed. The choir sang the Hallelujah Chorus. Faculty member Ameu Usou Zao debuted the official NCMFA College Anthem. Neivilie Sothu spoke for the students. He reflected on their shared journey. Minister Along addressed the crowd. He called NCMFA the state's top music school. He told the students to do more than just hold onto their training. Along explained that skilled students become an "enterprise" in themselves. He urged them to create opportunities and help others grow.
The college handed out Bachelor of Music degrees. Managing Director Vesato Theluo led the tassel turning. Medozho Zango gave out floral tokens. Ayangbam Amordius Khuman took the 2025 Academic Excellence Award. Neivilie Sothu took the 2026 honor. Rev Suhuto Chishi of the Nagaland Baptist Church Council delivered a final blessing. Principal Dr Rükulü Kezo Puro gave closing remarks before the recessional.

The event, officially branded as a Convocation-cum-Auditorium Inauguration, saw Minister Along serve as the Commencement Speaker. Er Vilini Q Wotsa holds the title of SDO within the PWD Housing Division. The ceremony included a formal Graduands Charge administered by Managing Director Vesato Theluo. The floral tokens presented by Medozho Zango were intended to mark the blossoming of the graduates future journeys.
