Kohima: Shofar Music Academy packed the Town Hall in Dimapur for two nights of Wicked on October 17 and 18. Director Moawapang Lusang led the production. The cast included 65 participants, with 15 students handling the leading roles.
Students did the heavy lifting. Only three teachers joined the stage, proving the kids had the drive to pull it off. The show relied on choral singing, complex choreography, and tight theatrical work.
The academy operates out of ADC Court Junction. This event served as a proving ground for young performers to build stage confidence and teamwork. The school remains focused on its mission to grow local artists. Academy leadership stated the event was a success, adding they are "grateful to all those who contributed to making the production a success."
