Gangtok: A delegation from Vantara visited the People for Animals Sikkim rescue centre at Mining in Rangpo. They came to see how the local facility treats injured and abandoned creatures. Minakshi Kakati and Dr. Deepjyoti Deka represented the Gujarat initiative during the tour. They spoke with PFA Sikkim members about daily operations and the hurdles they face while providing medical care and shelter.

Vantara operates out of Jamnagar under the leadership of Anant Ambani. It focuses on the rescue, conservation, and rehabilitation of diverse wildlife including elephants and big cats. The team spent the day observing the local workflow. The PFA staff welcomed the visit as a way to shine a spotlight on animal welfare needs.

The PFA team noted the importance of the exchange. They stated, "Such interactions help draw attention to animal welfare and encourage those working to protect animals." The organization expects this meeting to build a stronger bond between the two groups. Both parties want to improve standards for animal care and recovery efforts across the country.
