Kohima Village Students Union Hosts NextStep Career Fair

Kohima: The Kohima Village Students Union is set to host NextStep Kohima 2026 on October 15 at Kohima Village Ground in Ziekezou. Doors open at 10:00 AM and remain open until 4:00 PM. Admission is free.

KVSU president Khriesaneikuo Kire, organizing committee convenor Albert Seluokuolie Rutsa, and co-convenor Keneiser Mere announced the event at the Kohima Press Club. Organizers expect roughly 2,000 students from more than 50 schools and colleges. Parents and educators will also attend.

The union aims to bridge the gap between students and their future goals. Modern students face endless choices without solid data. KVSU plans to gather universities, skill centers, coaching hubs, and loan providers into one location to simplify decision-making. The group wants to highlight the region as a legitimate academic destination.

"We hope to showcase the Northeast as a strong and credible education hub, with access and opportunities on par with the rest of the country," the KVSU stated. Attendees can quiz representatives, alumni, and mentors on career paths and specific courses.

Confirmed participants include Mount Hermon School, Model Higher Secondary School, Tetso College, Patkai Christian College, NEISSR, ICFAI University, Ete Coffee, Baptist College, Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Don Bosco College, Nagabots, State Institute of Hotel Management, Livingstone Foundation Higher Secondary School, Norman Putsure, ITI, Samarth Coaching Institute, Khedi Higher Secondary School, Modern College, Eduversity, Vision Institute, Sazolie College, Alder College, NECU, Magdalene Coaching Institute, Drone Centre of Excellence, Christ University, Assam Don Bosco University, USTM, Martin Luther University, IGNOU, Carl Rogers Institute of Mental Health and Research Centre, IDAN, NSEDM, Government Polytechnic, and Japfu Christian College.
