Kikruma Students Union Kohima Holds 41st General Session

Kohima: The Kikruma Students Union Kohima (KSUK) hosted its 41st General Session and Freshers Meet-cum-Orientation Programme on October 3. The event took place at the State Academy Hall in Kohima under the theme Empowered Youth: Bridging Dreams and Reality.

Guest speaker Mhasimhalie Mathew Yhome, president of the Kohima Village Youth Organisation, addressed the crowd. He pushed students to gain knowledge and confidence. He told the gathering, "Education and skills give us the power to move forward." Yhome reminded attendees that youth are the current strength of society and key agents of change. He encouraged students to set clear visions for their futures and act as ambassadors for peace.

Three resource persons addressed specific career paths. Dr. Sao Tunyi, a public health professional and farmer at Providence Garden, spoke on agricultural farming and marketing. Kuveselu P. Khamo covered fashion designing and tailoring, while EAC Peren official Vekhohu Puro discussed strategic preparation for competitive examinations.

The program featured several official duties. Chakhesang Students Union Vice President Lindi Nienu shared greetings. KSUK President Nusato Puro delivered the presidential address, while General Secretary Nutso Puro presented the secretary report. Social and Cultural Secretary Votsolu Tunyi acknowledged the visiting dignitaries. Pastor Mudohu Kezo of CCRC Upper PWD Kohima led the prayer for freshers. The event included a folk song by Pfulu Puro and Onusalu Puro, a speech from Lotsulu M. Tunyi representing the freshers, and a closing vote of thanks from KSUK Vice President Veze Tunyi.
