Mon Student Takes Top Spot at Nagaland State Science Seminar

Kohima: Chemwao P Konyak of St. John Higher Secondary School in Mon clinched first place at the State Level Science Seminar 2026. The competition took place October 8 at Morung Hall, Kohima, under the theme "Indian Energy Basket 2047: Prospect and Challenges."

The Directorate of School Education hosted the event. Konyak now moves to the national stage in Delhi on October 30. Judges included Avino Tase, Imkongsenla, and Dr. Chumbeni Kikon. They serve as deputy and assistant directors for the department.

Immanuel of St. Peter School, Wokha, grabbed second place. Ivy Senilo Ngullie from Santsuo School, Wokha, finished third. Shashank Pratap Singh, the Principal Director, opened the ceremony. Gloria Ezung served as the event compere. Sentinenla, the Joint Director, delivered the closing remarks.
