Kohima: Nagaland’s Department of Higher Education just released a strict advisory for ST students seeking Post-Matric Scholarships. Candidates must apply online via the National Scholarship Portal and hand over hard copies to their institutions on time.
The process demands accuracy. Institute Nodal Officers verify admission details and ST certificates before State Nodal Officers provide final approval. If an application gets marked defective, students must fix it online immediately. The department warned: "No modifications or corrections will be permitted after the deadline."
Get to the bank. Students must ensure their accounts are Aadhaar-seeded and enabled for Direct Benefit Transfer. You can only link one active account at a time. Do not wait for the last minute. The department says hitting submit does not guarantee a payout, as funds must first arrive from the Central Ministry.
The federal government covers 90 percent of the funding, while the state picks up the remaining 10 percent. Students should track their status on the portal and avoid unofficial sources. If you have questions, call 9863772522 or email hescholarship@gmail.com between 9:30 am and 4:00 pm.
