MP Kriti Singh Debbarma Reviews South Tripura Development Projects

Agartala: East Tripura Lok Sabha MP Kriti Singh Debbarma chaired a district-level Disha meeting at the Circuit House in Belonia on Friday. The session scrutinized the progress of various Central and State government schemes across South Tripura. Officials assessed whether project goals set during the previous meeting reached completion.

Attendees included Minister for Cooperation and Minority Welfare Shukla Charan Noatia, Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Dipak Dutta, and several MLAs. The room also held District Magistrates, Sub-Divisional Magistrates, Panchayat Samiti chairpersons, and BDOs. Leaders from municipal councils, Nagar Panchayats, and departments ranging from health to police administration reported on their work.

Debbarma addressed ongoing public concerns. She confirmed that certain areas suffer from a shortage of doctors and teachers. Drinking water access remains a challenge in several locations. The MP identified these as high-priority issues for the coming days. She stated, "The primary objective, she said, was to ensure that government schemes and development projects actually benefit the people."

The review covered irrigation, electricity, roads, and healthcare initiatives. Debbarma pushed for strict adherence to project deadlines. She ordered administrative officials to conduct frequent field visits to verify that construction and service delivery meet standards on the ground.
