Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha announced a massive infrastructure surge in South Tripura on Friday. Projects worth Rs 406 crore started in the district over the last two years. The Chief Minister officially opened or broke ground on new works valued at Rs 178 crore. These investments target tribal welfare, education, healthcare, and road infrastructure.

Saha attacked the former Left Front administration. He claimed the previous regime stalled progress for 35 years. The current government moves faster. He told the crowd that the opposition tries to fool voters. "The people understand the reality," he said. He maintains that his team brings tangible benefits to every corner of the state.

The Chief Minister also targeted the Leader of the Opposition. He condemned a recent incident where the opposition leader allegedly called the South Tripura Superintendent of Police an idiot. Saha argued this behavior defines the mindset of the previous administration. Ministers Shukla Charan Noatia and Bikash Debbarma joined the event. South Tripura District Magistrate Mohammad Sajad P, local MLAs, and various public representatives also attended the ceremony.
