Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha pushed state development into high gear Thursday. He inaugurated six new projects and laid foundation stones for 12 others in Unakoti district. The total bill hit Rs 45.18 crore. The event took place at the Dalugaon Higher Secondary School ground.
Saha wants progress outside Agartala. He noted, "The state government was working to ensure that development was not confined to Agartala but reached people in the every part of Tripura." State workers and elected officials are pushing to spread these benefits to all citizens.
Healthcare remains a top priority. Saha promised a new trauma care centre for the district and plans to renovate the aging local hospital. He also confirmed he signed the paperwork for a 100-bed Medical College in Ambassa.
The administration shows a steady track record. Since 2022, Unakoti has seen 56 projects land worth Rs 197.68 crore. Including Thursday's spending, the government hit Rs 440 crore in projects across the state this fiscal year. Last year, the total reached Rs 1,500 crore.
Saha also started the Clean and Green Unakoti initiative. He hopes to boost tourism by highlighting the famous archaeological site. Plans to reopen the Kailashahar Airport are currently under discussion to ease travel for visitors.
