Agartala: Transport and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury held his first administrative review as the Guardian Minister for Unakoti. He met with senior officials and Panchayat representatives on Wednesday at the Kailashahar Circuit House. The discussion focused on building a modern, prosperous, and promising district for all residents. Jobs for the youth are a top priority.
Chowdhury stated, "Our pledge is to build a modern, prosperous, and promising Unakoti where every family is connected to the mainstream of development." He ordered department heads to finish all public works on time. Officials must maintain strict quality standards and total transparency while tracking progress in health, education, and road construction. Electricity, water, and agriculture projects also require faster execution.
The minister plans to boost the local economy by growing food processing industries. He also identified untapped potential in religious and historical tourism. Better transport links will help drive these efforts. Chowdhury noted that he is acting under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha to push the region toward higher growth.
