Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha rolled out a suite of development projects in South Tripura on July 31. He inaugurated completed works and set foundation stones for new ones totaling Rs 178 crore. The cash injection hits major sectors. Education, healthcare, road infrastructure, and tribal welfare get the bulk of the focus.
These projects aim to fix long-standing public service gaps. They push the state toward faster regional growth. Saha emphasized that the government treats progress as its main goal. He noted that total spending in the district hit Rs 406 crore over the last two years.
Saha said, "The initiatives are focused on fulfilling the long-standing aspirations of the people while strengthening essential infrastructure across the district." The administration expects these upgrades to shift the socio-economic status of local residents. Officials view these moves as a marker of better living standards for the region.
