Agartala: Gomati district officials met at the Udaipur Circuit House on Thursday to face a firm demand for faster progress. The District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee, known as DISHA, held the review to push stalled projects forward.

Kriti Singh Debbarma, Member of Parliament from Tripura East and Vice-Chairperson of the Gomati DISHA Committee, led the session. She insisted on efficiency. "The core mandate of DISHA is to ensure proper monitoring of central schemes so that no beneficiary is left out."

Speaker of the Tripura Legislative Assembly Rampada Jamatia attended alongside District Magistrate Rinku Lather. They sat with senior department heads and elected representatives to audit the delivery of welfare initiatives. The committee scrutinized efforts in rural development, infrastructure, and public welfare, demanding that benefits reach eligible citizens without bureaucratic friction.

Debbarma directed the staff to maintain strict quality standards while hitting project deadlines. She pushed the administration to be proactive about solving complaints. Jamatia pushed for greater accountability, telling the room that government programs must translate into tangible improvements for people. The district now faces increased pressure to meet targets and restore public confidence through transparent, rapid governance.
