Morigaon Officials Begin Staff Randomization for Nagaon Bypoll

Guwahati: Morigaon officials randomized polling personnel on Saturday, September 12. This marks the first phase of preparations for the 9-Nagaon Parliamentary Constituency by-election. The work took place at the Office of the District Commissioner.

District Commissioner Srishti Singh supervised the task. She followed strict Election Commission of India guidelines. The team used dedicated software to pick the staff. This removes human bias from the selection. They want a fair vote.

Key administrators joined the session. These included Additional District Commissioners Rakesh Deka and Dr. Nilakhi Baishya. Election Officer Gunjana Saikia also attended. Officials from the district election cell rounded out the group.

Political representatives watched the process unfold. They acted as witnesses to ensure transparency. Regarding the effort, the administration noted that the randomisation was carried out to "ensure an impartial allocation of polling duties and eliminate human discretion in the selection process."
