Kohima: Baptist College Kohima hosted a ceremony at Rivenburgs Memorial Chapel to honor top students and staff. The Felicitation Committee organized the event to recognize academic success and consistent attendance. Dr. Mhabeni, an assistant professor of history, chaired the proceedings.
Vipralhou Kesiezie, chairman of the college governing body, served as the primary felicitator. He urged the awardees to aim higher. "Continue to work and set higher goals, build stronger character and discipline to be able to overcome distractions and temptations," he told the group.
Principal Dr. Kekuchol Pusa congratulated two university rank holders, various department subject toppers, and students recognized for regular attendance. Seyiesilie Vu-pru from the internal quality assurance cell explained the specific metrics required to qualify for the performance-based rewards.
Longvila L. Sangtam, from the history department, earned 7th rank with a 8.62 CGPA. Jasmine Y. Konyak, a B.Com student, took 9th rank with an 8.51 CGPA. Both achieved these marks in the 2026 Nagaland University Undergraduate FYUGP examination. The college also issued Mavericks Academy Awards to the highest CGPA scorers in both arts and commerce.
Staff with perfect attendance and students reaching 99 percent attendance or higher received honors. Messilemla Chang performed a special musical number. Assistant professor Kevichuseu Agnes and chaplain Tamreimung Chusi provided the opening and closing prayers.
