Chiechama Students’ Union Demands Justice After Hostel Warden Assaults Boy

Kohima: The Chiechama Students’ Union issued a statement on August 20 condemning the alleged assault of a 10-year-old boy by a hostel warden. The suspect is a 38-year-old man working at a private facility in Chiephobozou. He was responsible for the safety and supervision of the children living there.

The union labeled the incident deeply disturbing. It rejects the idea that physical force is a valid form of discipline. The organization maintains a firm stance against abuse and intimidation. In a written statement, the group declared, "No form of discipline can justify physically assaulting or harming a child."

Authorities must act now. The CSU is pressing for a fair and impartial investigation into the case. They want officials to examine all evidence and pursue legal action against the warden. Protecting students is the main goal. The union also demands immediate steps to prevent any further harm, retaliation, or intimidation against the young victim.
