Agartala: Tripura Panchayat Minister Kishor Barman visited New Delhi to secure federal funding for Rudrasagar Lake. He met with Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti Dr. Raj Bhushan Choudhary at the minister's home. The goal is to turn the historic site into an iconic national landmark. Barman, who serves as the local MLA for the region, wants to boost both the environment and the economy.

Barman laid out a plan for the site. He called for increasing the water-holding depth of the lake and modernizing the water-flow system at Noachhara. He also requested renovations for where the Kanchigang and Gomati rivers meet. The minister stressed that tourism would provide jobs for locals. He remains optimistic about the government's response.

"The Union Minister gave serious consideration to the issues raised during the meeting and assured him that necessary steps would be taken at the earliest," a statement from the minister's office noted. Barman believes this project will preserve the state's heritage while opening doors for future generations.
