Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha plans to sweep the Urban Local Body elections this November. Polls open on November 27 and results follow on December 2. The party enters the race with a focus on law and order, infrastructure growth, and rising public trust. Saha aims to build on the BJP's strong performance in last year's local contests.
Campaigners will showcase specific projects to voters. These include better roads, steady water supply, revitalized lakes, and improved power grids. They also intend to repair narrow lanes throughout the state. Saha claims the government has consistently worked for the welfare of the people since 2018. He believes they effectively reach the last person in society.
Saha slammed the opposition for past failures. He argued that rivals held power multiple times yet did nothing for the public. The BJP intends to highlight alleged attempts by others to destabilize the nation during the campaign trail. “We are prepared for the elections, and we are confident that it will be a good election,” Saha said. He trusts that voters will reject the critics and reward the current administration for its track record.
