Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha launched Yoddha on Wednesday. The new initiative is a digital platform designed by the North Tripura district administration. It lets residents report sensitive social issues like drug abuse, child marriage, child labour, and domestic violence without revealing their identities. The IT department finished a security audit, and the National Informatics Centre hosts the site to ensure data safety.
Users can also register for social service activities, including blood donation camps. Victims of drug abuse gain access to anonymous counseling and treatment. Saha praised the tool during its virtual debut. He noted the government might expand the project to all districts. "If the portal is successful, we will introduce it in all districts. It will help us understand many issues, and people can lodge complaints without any fear," Saha said.
Following the launch, the Chief Minister hosted a Mukhyamantri Samipeshu program from the Kanchanpur Sub-Divisional Magistrate conference hall. This session reached residents in North Tripura directly. Twenty-eight people presented grievances at the hall. Saha issued instructions to local departments to resolve these public issues.
The program helps remote residents avoid long trips to Agartala. Officials have completed 70 editions of the hearing. The government previously tested this district-level format in Dhalai. Many concerns raised involve healthcare or assistance for people with disabilities. During the event, Saha touted local medical progress. Tripura recently finished its eighth kidney transplant. Government doctors now perform these complex surgeries on their own.
North Tripura District Magistrate and Collector Chandni Chandran attended the launch. Other officials included SDM Kanchanpur Ashish Biswas. Senior officers from the SDPO, SDMO, and BDO offices in Laljuri, Dasda, and Jampui were also present.
