Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha launched the Yoddha web portal on Wednesday, July 15. The North Tripura district administration developed the platform to let residents report social issues anonymously. It protects the identity of anyone flagging concerns like child marriage, domestic violence, child labor, or drug abuse. The portal also provides confidential access to medical treatment and counseling for those struggling with substance addiction.
Saha visited North Tripura to hear grievances from 26 locals during the Mukhyamantri Samipeshu program. He noted that officials cannot solve problems from Agartala alone. The government now hosts this program at district headquarters to reach remote areas. It has run 70 sessions to date, with many requests focused on healthcare or assistance for people with disabilities. The state recently completed its eighth kidney transplant, performed independently by government doctors.
Saha plans to expand the Yoddha model statewide if it succeeds. He told reporters, "If the Yoddha appears successful, we will urge the other district magistrates to follow the concept to address the unaddressed problems of the people." North Tripura District Magistrate Chandni Chandran said the project builds a more responsible society. It turns citizens into partners against social evils.
