Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha launched the Yoddha web portal on Wednesday. The North Tripura district administration developed the platform to let citizens report social grievances without revealing their identities. Users can flag issues including child marriage, drug abuse, domestic violence, and child labour. The site also connects victims of drug abuse to private counseling and medical treatment. Citizens can also use the portal to sign up for social service efforts like blood donation.
The IT department finished a security audit to ensure the site is safe. The National Informatics Centre is hosting the platform. “If the portal is successful, we will introduce it in all districts. It will help us understand many issues, and people can lodge complaints without any fear,” Saha said. The government may roll the system out statewide if it proves effective.
Saha also led the Mukhyamantri Samipeshu program from the Kanchanpur Sub-Divisional Magistrate conference hall. This weekly initiative brings the Chief Minister to local districts to hear complaints directly. The session addressed the grievances of 26 to 28 residents. Officials present included District Magistrate and Collector Chandni Chandran, SDM Ashish Biswas, and senior officers from Laljuri, Dasda, and Jampui.
The Chief Minister noted the program has finished 70 editions. He intends to decentralize the hearings to help residents who cannot travel to Agartala. During his visit, Saha also noted that state doctors recently finished an eighth successful kidney transplant. The government plans to continue monitoring the Yoddha portal to ensure public participation and data safety.
