Tripura CM Manik Saha Opens 8 Crore in Development Projects in Khowai

Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha opened seven development projects in Khowai district on Thursday. The total value of these works hit 8,09,13,000 rupees. The projects cover the Education, Rural Development, Social Welfare and Social Education, Urban Development, and Drinking Water and Sanitation departments. The event took place at the Khowai Town Hall.

Saha distributed eight Smart OPD Kits to local doctors. The government aims to bring medical care to far-flung areas. He stated, "The technology-enabled initiative would make it easier to provide timely medical services in the remote and inaccessible areas of Khowai district." The kits improve healthcare delivery for the public.

The Chief Minister also toured the district to visit two renovated Anganwadi Centres. He opened the Shaishab Anganwadi Centre in Ward No. 4 and the Ananda Neer Anganwadi Centre in Ward No. 7. Both sit under the Khowai Municipal Council. These renovations cost 24.24 lakh rupees. Both facilities feature new AI tools to support local childhood growth and early education.

Local leaders attended the event. These included Social Welfare Minister Tinku Roy, Zilla Sabhadhipati Aparna Singha Roy, MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury, and Khowai Municipal Council Chairman Debashish Nath Sharma. District Magistrate Rajat Panth also joined the officials at the ceremony.
