Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha declared the recent Village Committee election results a total rejection of the CPI(M) and Congress alliance. The NDA secured over 90 percent of the seats on offer. Saha predicted these numbers well before the final count. He insisted the outcome serves as a clear mandate for his vision of the state.
Saha attacked the opposition for their inability to win over the public. He claimed their political strategy relies on outdated ideas that no longer move voters. The Chief Minister dismissed the opposition complaints regarding electronic voting machines and the Election Commission as a predictable excuse for their repeated losses. He stated, "I will tell the opposition the same thing again and again: they need to think about why this is happening to them."
The Chief Minister outlined plans to unite indigenous communities, general groups, Manipuris, and minorities under a single banner. He cited Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the driving force behind this inclusive development model. Saha vowed to keep pushing his vision for a New Tripura as the state moves forward.
