Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha reported encouraging trends in village committee election results on October 5. Counting remains underway across the state. He expects the final tally to surface by late afternoon. The manual ballot process slowed the pace of the count. Saha remains optimistic about the outcome for his party.

Saha told reporters, "The news coming in is all about India's victory. Very good results are coming and we are getting the results as expected." These early returns have lifted the spirits of party workers throughout the region.

Reports of isolated skirmishes surfaced at a few polling sites. Police crews are on the ground handling these disruptions. Officials maintain the general situation remains under control. Saha urged all political factions to keep the peace once the final numbers go public. He specifically warned against post-election retaliation and violence. He claimed Communist parties possess a history of such unrest and now face a dim political future. The Chief Minister expects the remaining count to finish peacefully.
