Agartala: Biplab Kumar Deb demanded urgent global intervention to dismantle international terror networks. The Lok Sabha MP and former Chief Minister of Tripura delivered India's national statement to the Sixth Committee of the 81st United Nations General Assembly. He focused his remarks on the urgent measures needed to eliminate global terrorism.
The BJP national general secretary pushed for aggressive, coordinated action against groups that threaten international security. He targeted financial networks and countries that provide safe havens for violent actors. Deb insisted that no single nation can win this fight alone. "Terrorism cannot be effectively addressed through the efforts of any single country and requires coordinated and decisive action by the international community," he said.
He tied this stance to the ongoing leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. India maintains a policy of zero tolerance toward these threats. Deb outlined three goals: stop terrorist financing, rip apart support networks, and hold those who shelter extremists accountable. His speech signaled India's intent to build a rules-based international order that prioritizes global peace and collective security.
