Manipur Speaker Calls for Uniform National Development

Imphal: Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker Thokchom Satyabarta says India cannot reach its full potential if development remains confined to a few pockets. All states must rise together to build a strong nation. He spoke at the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan programme hosted by the Imphal East District Administration at the Naharol Shintha Kanglup Community Hall in Wangkhei Keithel Asangbi.

This campaign runs from September 17 to October 17. It marks 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s career in public service. The event brought 30 government departments together under one roof. The goal is to settle public grievances and distribute aid directly to the people. "Development of only some states cannot make India a developed nation," Satyabarta said.

Officials distributed wheelchairs and walking sticks to the elderly and those with mobility issues. Students received textbooks and uniforms during the event. This effort supports the Prime Minister’s vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047. Satyabarta urged citizens to ensure government aid reaches every eligible person.

Key officials attended the gathering, including Imphal East Deputy Commissioner Dr. Nivedita Lairenlakpam and State Convenor of Seva Sankalp Abhiyan K. Sharat. BJP General Secretary P. Premananda and BJP Yaiskul Mandal president Laishram Satyabarma were also present.
