Agartala: Assam Rifles and Customs officials grabbed 340 kg of ganja in Tripura's Khowai district on October 6. The stash holds a street value of Rs 1.74 crore. Authorities acted on tip-offs and weeks of surveillance targeting regional narcotics smugglers. The move aims to shatter trafficking networks operating across the Northeast.

Officers intercepted a Ford EcoSport to find the contraband hidden inside. They hauled the vehicle and the drugs to Customs officials for the official investigation. Legal proceedings are currently underway. The joint operation highlights the ongoing, aggressive push to stop drug flows into the state.
