Kohima: The Nagaland Directorate Ministerial Service Association met in Kohima on August 7. The event marked the 5th Biennial Conference and the 50th General Meeting. It took place at the Capital Convention Centre. Police Director General Rupin Sharma attended as the special guest.

Sharma demanded better file management in government offices. He believes young recruits bring energy to the force. Older staff provide the wisdom. He told workers to master the Nagaland Government Servants Conduct Rules. Employees must own their decisions. They must act with integrity at all times.

Kroneicho Naki, the first Administrative Officer of the Public Works Department, spoke next. He thanked the state government for creating his role after a ten-year wait. He called the staff the backbone of the government. "Ministerial staff as the backbone of the government and called upon them to carry out their duties with integrity, discipline and accountability."

I. Anungba Sanglir from CANSSEA addressed the crowd. CANSSEA serves as the top body for state employee groups. They handle pay, pension, and welfare matters. The group also tracks the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme and Revision of Pay status.

Bendangsenla welcomed the guests on behalf of the association. She celebrated the group’s progress. She congratulated recently promoted members and the first class to finish the Foundation Course Training on Secretariat Work.
