Nagaland Spelling Bee Championship Set for October

Kohima: The Fountain Club Kohima and the Department of State Council of Educational Research and Training are organizing the 11th Nagaland Spelling Bee Championship. The event takes place October 20 and 21 at the SCERT office in Kohima. Organizers target students between grades six and nine.

Participating schools can send two students each. The club handles the bills for the spellers. They provide free food and dormitory-style lodging for all contestants. Teachers and parents must pay nominal fees for the same services upon request. No travel money is available.

Fountain Club president Metsi Zhasa and event convenor Neizokhotuo Belho confirmed the details in a recent release. They added, "Attractive cash prizes shall be awarded to the winning Spellers and Citations to all the Participants students and schools."
