Kohima: Nagaland Director General of Police Rupin Sharma pushed state ministerial staff to sharpen their record-keeping and master government conduct rules. He spoke Saturday at the Capital Convention Centre in Kohima during the 5th Biennial Conference-cum-50th General Meeting of the Nagaland Directorate Ministerial Service Association. Discipline matters. Sharma told the staff that understanding service procedures is a fundamental responsibility for every worker.

The police chief argued that blending the energy of young recruits with the wisdom of veteran staff creates a stronger government office. He specifically pointed to the Nagaland Government Servants Conduct Rules as a required reading for all employees. "The younger generation of employees recruited through public service examinations possess the knowledge and capability to make valuable contributions to the ministerial establishment," Sharma said.

Kroneicho Naki, the first Administrative Officer of the Nagaland Public Works Department, also spoke at the event. He reminded attendees that the association fought over a decade to secure his current position. Naki called ministerial employees the backbone of the state, urging them to focus on accountability and professional dedication.

I Anungba Sanglir, Vice President of the Confederation of All Nagaland State Services Employees Association, highlighted the union's ongoing fight for better pension reforms, pay revisions, and the Chief Minister's Health Insurance Scheme. Bendangsenla, representing the NDMSA, thanked the DGP for his support and praised the recent creation of the Administrative Officer role as a major historic victory for the staff.
