Kohima: Director of the Ministry of Rural Development and Central Prabhari Officer for Thonoknyu, Raj Priy Singh, arrived in Noklak on July 14, 2026. He met with district officials at the Superintendent of Police conference hall to audit the Aspirational Block Programme. Singh pushed the Viksit Bharat 2047 goal. He called for progress across four specific groups: youth, the poor, women, and farmers.

Singh detailed the VB GRAM G Act. This plan targets water security, rural paths, and climate resilience. He demanded collective action from all local stakeholders to drive growth. Singh inspected local sites following the meeting. He checked an Anganwadi Centre, a medical sub-center, and homes built under the PMAY G scheme in Noklak village.

SDO Civil and Nodal Officer Vikhoto Richa presented a performance report covering health, social development, agriculture, education, and basic infrastructure. He identified significant obstacles to progress. These include the area's isolation, rugged terrain, bad roads, and a lack of banks. He also noted data errors and a shortage of workers.

DC Noklak P. Mono Khiamniungan led the session. He praised the departments for their dedication to the project. He noted a major success for the region despite the ongoing struggles. Khiamniungan stated, "Thonoknyu Block achieved 1st Rank in the Delta Ranking for the period October–December 2025."
