Kohima: Dimapur district officials met July 15 to ramp up the ongoing Intensive Registration and Awareness Drive for the MY Bharat portal. The clock is ticking. The administration wants maximum youth enrollment across all local schools and colleges before the campaign ends August 15, 2026.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Tinojongshi Chang addressed the meeting. He labeled youth the engine of development. He described the MY Bharat platform as a vital bridge connecting young people with opportunities provided by the Government of India. Chang urged heads of educational institutions to give this registration drive top priority. He wants every eligible student to benefit from the available programs.
District Youth Officer K. Manikanta outlined the portal mechanics. He noted the platform helps youth aged 15 to 29 build digital profiles. It provides access to mentorship, experiential learning, and leadership training. Users can also volunteer for disaster management, community service, health, and social awareness tasks.
Success requires a team effort. The administration instructed schools to set up dedicated registration cells and appoint nodal officers immediately. They also directed campus groups like the National Service Scheme and National Cadet Corps to mobilize student enrollment. Extra Assistant Commissioner Imlijungla, the District Employment Officer, the District Education Officer, and various college principals attended the briefing.
