Shillong: North-Eastern Hill University in Shillong is scouting for 27 guest faculty members to join its Integrated Teacher Education Programme. The university needs experts across science, arts, and pedagogy fields to fill these vacancies for 2026. This is a massive hiring push. Candidates should act fast.

The BSc BEd track requires 10 instructors, with two spots each for Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, and Mathematics. The BA BEd track needs 12 teachers, split between English, Khasi, Economics, Political Science, Geography, and History. Five additional roles cover Pedagogy of Physical Sciences, Pedagogy of Khasi, Art Education, and Educational Studies.

Applicants need a postgraduate degree with at least 55 percent marks. Most positions also demand a BEd or MEd degree plus NET, SLET, SET, or a PhD in a relevant subject. The university offers a standard rate for these roles. Faculty will receive "Rs. 1500/- per lecture subject to a maximum of Rs. 50,000/- per month" for their teaching contributions.
