Shillong: North-Eastern Hill University in Shillong is hiring for a research project tracking silicate-solubilizing bacteria in East Khasi Hills paddy fields. The project aims to develop location-specific biofertilizers by analyzing soil traits. The school needs one Project Associate-I and one Field Assistant for this DBT-funded work.
Applicants for the Project Associate role must hold an M.Sc. in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Botany, or Life Sciences. Candidates with experience in molecular biology or soil microbiology are preferred. Monthly pay reaches Rs. 31,000 plus HRA for those who passed the CSIR-UGC NET, GATE, or other national-level exams. Others will get Rs. 25,000 plus HRA. Applicants must be 35 or younger.
