Kohima: The Mokokchung District Task Force kicked off its Pan India Rescue and Rehabilitation Campaign 4.0 on June 12. It lasted until August 31. This initiative coincided with World Day Against Child Labour. Officials operated under the theme, "Red Card to Child Labour-Fair Play for Children, Decent Work for Adults."
The task force wants to shield kids from hazardous jobs. They pushed business owners to drop child help. The group targeted restaurants, cafés, and vehicular workshops during the operation. Teams performed verification drives and held sensitization meetings with proprietors to explain the laws.
Posters plastered around town served as the opening act. Officials urged the public to get involved. The campaign emphasized that children belong in school. Adults deserve decent work instead. The district now demands total compliance from all local employers to keep the workforce clean.
