Agartala: Animal Resource Development Minister Sudhangshu Das led a review meeting at the Kumarghat Panchayat Samiti Conference Hall on Tuesday. He aimed to fast-track rural development and ensure welfare schemes hit their targets. The room packed out with local leaders.
Attendees included the Unakoti Zilla Sabhadhipati, block officials, Zilla Parishad members, Panchayat Samiti members, Pradhans, Upa-Pradhans, Panchayat Secretaries, and departmental brass. They combed through the status of ongoing projects to find where work stalled.
Das credited the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha for the state push to tighten grassroots governance. He demanded better accountability and faster results from the staff on hand. "Detailed discussions were held on key issues, and I have directed officials to ensure that government funds and project benefits reach the people within the stipulated time," Das said.
The minister ordered closer coordination between all departments. He wants welfare benefits to trigger real change for the people. This meeting serves as a clear signal that the government is tightening oversight at the block level to prevent project delays.
